Aflac Tennessee – Handbook

Client: Aflac Tennessee

Type: 8.5″ x 11″ handbook (Word / PDF)

Project: Researched, wrote, edited, and designed 32-page handbook for Aflac State Training Coordinator.  Intended for independent Aflac field associates, the handbook discusses why and how to hire full- or part-time administrative personnel and interns, discussing such issues as advertising the position, interviewing, and offering benefits.

Aflac Tennessee – Database Instruction Manual

Client: Aflac Tennessee

Type: 8.5″ x 11″ handbook (Word / PDF) with accompanying PowerPoint training module

Project: Wrote, edited, and designed 14-page instruction manual for Aflac State Training Coordinator. Since the audience members–Aflac field agents–varied widely in their experience with online databases, I designed the manual to be highly visual, with step-by-step instructions written clearly and straightforwardly. To help fulfill the client’s need for the field agents to update and consult the database often, I incorporated sidebars into the manual to remind the audience to do just that.

Client: Aflac Tennessee

Type: Multiple training modules in PowerPoint and Prezi, generally for online use

Project: Adapted given content for PowerPoint and Prezi training modules for Aflac field agent audience. Because of the sheer amount of information to be conveyed in one sitting, I used visuals and animation to both lead the reader through the content step by step and to keep them interested.
